Opening his first salon back in 1990, Founder Paul Hood has accumulated 30 years’ experience in the hair industry, working across all sectors in the industry.
His barbering excellence has taken him around the world, leading him to become an educator at art teams at both American Crew and Wahl. His journey sparked his curiosity for how to make the whole experience for his client more luxurious, and in particular how to create a functional and fresh way to gown them.

HJCT was designed, manufactured, cut and hand sown within Paul’s home town of Sheffield, using only premium technical fabrics that perform for both the client and the artist. Quality, provenance and craftsmanship are the core pillars of the brand, reflected in every product we create. Our time-honoured, uncompromising traditions and techniques are used to create a stylish workable garment to match the work of any credible artist within the hairdressing industry.
